Product Description

Kidney Function Diagnosis Diabetics Microalbuminuria Rapid Test Kit

MAU rapid test is a rapid visual immunoassay and the test is used as a method to diagnose diabetic nephropathy. MAU occurs when the kidneys leak small amounts of albumin into the urine. The persistent presence of small amounts of albumin in the urine (microalbuminuria) may be the first indicator of renal insufficiency. Urinary excretion of 20 ~ 200 μg/mL is considered microalbuminuria. In diabetic patients, a positive result may be the first indicator of diabetic nephropathy, in which case early diagnosis and treatment are particularly important to avoid renal dysfunction. In addition to renal insufficiency, urinary microalbuminuria can also be caused by urinary tract infections, hypertension and cardiac insufficiency

What does albumin urine test for?

This test looks for a protein called albumin in your urine. The test is used to check for kidney damage or disease. Albumin is a protein in your blood. It helps keep the correct balance of fluid between your blood vessels and the body tissues they supply.

What is the normal range for urine albumin?

Urine albumin‐to‐creatinine ratio (UACR) is most frequently applied to diagnose albuminuria. In spot urine specimens, normal level of UACR is below 30 mg/g. The normal UACR value is less than or equal to 17 mg/g in men but in women, the level is observed to be higher ranging around 25 mg/g

What is kidney disease albumin test?

An albumin blood test is used to check your general health and to see how well your liver and kidneys are working. If your liver is damaged or you're not well nourished, your liver may not make enough albumin. If your kidneys are damaged, they may let too much albumin leave your body in urine (pee).
